Anne of Green Gables by L.M MontGomery Genre : Slice of life(?), drama because Anne is definitely dramatic and just enough of romance Summary : Anne was adopted by Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert who were siblings and she is over the moon except that she was not what the siblings wanted. They had wanted a boy not a girl to help them with farm work. When Anne found out, to say she was devastated was an understatement. Will the Cuthberts keep her and would she be able to call Green Gables her home? My two cents (spoilers) : Emotions This book was super enjoyable, many emotions were felt mainly because of Anne herself and the situations she gets herself into. I found myself breaking into a smile (and sometimes even laughing out loud) several times while reading this mainly because of how dramatic her responses are. There were also cringe worthy scenes where I had to take a break from her. A few tears were shredded when it was time for Anne to move out of Green Gables, and Marill...
